It was a cold, clear sunny day with lots of people out enjoying the mountains.

Carn Mor Dearg and Ben Nevis from the North.

Fresh avalanche debris in Coire an Lochan.

Deep snow in Summit Gully. My 3 metre probe didn’t reach the ground.

Dropping the cornice into Spikes. There are a lot of large fragile cornices on North to East aspects.

The next 3 pictures show conditions in Coire an Lochan. Cornices above many routes.

Lighter winds today but still strong enough at times to redistribute some snow.
