Last Blog post of the season!

18th April 2015

Its been a great winter and there is still plenty snow around to play on, although I think skiing is probably the best activity just now.

Below are a selection of images from today showing the great snow cover up high and also (what I think) are the lowest snow patches left in Lochaber

Nevis Range is having a final day skiing tomorrow before shutting for the summer. Fantastic spring snow in the back corries!

Thanks for all your reports and blogs over the past season. We’re a fair distance away up in Kintail but they are still (with a bit of interpretation for local conditions!) really useful to us. Enjoy the summer!

Thanks guys for all your photos and forecasts for this winter. It has been great. Only managed one trip at the end of Feb but have been following your posts before and since. Hope next winter is just as good and will be back for more.
Keep up the excellent work at SAIS.

    Auf wiedersehen,

    Jon.

Thanks for the daily fix over the last few months! Planning to come up in the next few weeks for some spring hill walking and hoping to get weather like in this last set of photos.
    See you next season!

    Cheers

I echo Jon’s post. Thanks to all of you guys (and dogs) for another great season’s forecasting and for keeping us safe on the hills.

    All the best

    Rob
