A quick thaw on the Ben

17th December 2014

Summit temperatures went to almost +4 degrees in the early hours before falling to around the summits today. This resulted in several wet snow avalanches in the gullies.

Plenty of ice forming on the main faces which should continue to improve as colder weather returns tomorrow
