20th January 2007

A wild morning with some heavy snow showers. The picture shows an observer on an exposed ridge at an altitude of about 1000m. Large amounts of snow were being blown along the ground (note that you can’t see the observers feet). This blown snow would form cornices and deposit windslab on lee slopes.
